These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of this website and to any registration for our competitions. By registering, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of this website and to any registration for our competitions. By registering, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
Infinity reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the website and/or participation in events will be taken as acceptance of any changes.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
1.Unless otherwise stated, Sing It Out Loud is for amateur performers only.
2.Any person who derives a main income as a teacher and/or singer may not enter
Sing It Out Loud.
3.By entering Sing It Out Loud, you agree to abide by all rules and regulations
outlined in this Syllabus.
4.Rules and regulations pertaining to each section are outlined in this Syllabus and
will not be repeated in the program.
5.Changes to some rules may occur from year to year, therefore it is imperative
that all instructions are read carefully.
6.Failure to comply wholly or partly with any rules and regulations may result in
disqualification or the withholding of prizes.
7.The decision of the Executive on any question or dispute shall be absolutely final.
ENTRIES & SECTIONS
8.It is the responsibility of the entrant, teacher, parent, or carer to ensure the
correct sections are selected on the entry form.
9.The Executive accepts no responsibility for incorrect entries received.
10.Sing It Out Loud is not responsible for entries lost through failed electronic
transmission or incorrectly submitted online entries.
11.Please check your junk mail folder if you do not receive a confirmation email.
12.Entries will not be accepted for singers outside their age group.
13.In Duo and Trio sections, singers may perform twice. Age is determined by the
oldest performer and competitors must enter the relevant age section.
14.Singers may only enter a style in a category once.
“Your Own Choice” categories
may be used for a second performance of the same style, but NOT the same
song.
15.You are NOT permitted to perform the same performance more than once, unless
it is in the Crossover Crown or Strut Your Stuff Crown sections.
16.Genres must follow the description requirements listed in the Syllabus for the
section entered.
17.An incorrect genre song choice may result in disqualification.
MUSIC & TIME LIMITS
18.Backing tracks must be uploaded through Music Uploads at:
19.No other method of music submission will be accepted.
20.The Executive takes all care but accepts no responsibility for music and how it is
uploaded.
21.Please note it is always best to purchase your backing track, as the quality is
generally clearer.
22.Time limits must be observed.
23.Please endeavour to stay within the time limits printed in the Syllabus.
24.The times listed are maximum limits — performances may be shorter, but must
not exceed the allocated time.
25.A deduction of 3 points will apply for performances exceeding the allocated time
limit.
EVENT PROCEDURES
26.Performers must be present at the beginning of the session, as withdrawals may
alter the order of appearance.
27.Due to this, exact performance times cannot be guaranteed.
28.Please arrive at the venue at least one hour prior to the allocated start time.
29.All singers and groups must report to the registration desk upon arrival.
30.All singers and groups must perform in the order listed in the program.
31.Changes may only be made after consultation with the Backstage Manager.
32.All singers must wait in the area designated by the Backstage Manager before
going on stage.
33.All singers, teachers, parents, and carers must follow directions from the
Backstage Manager at all times.
34.We encourage parents to leave their singer with the Backstage Manager, take a
seat in the audience, relax, and enjoy the performances.
35.Props must be minimal and free-standing.
36.Please notify the Backstage Manager if assistance is required.
37.Cancellations or withdrawals must be reported to the Backstage Manager as
soon as possible.
38.No prompting or assistance of any kind may be given by any person other than
the adjudicator.
ADJUDICATION & EXECUTIVE RIGHTS
38.Entry fees are non-refundable unless a section is cancelled by the Executive.
39.The Executive reserves the right to cancel or combine sections where insufficient
entries have been received.
40.The Executive reserves the right to appoint a replacement adjudicator if deemed
necessary.
41.In the case of any dispute regarding the age or eligibility of a competitor, the
Executive reserves the right to request a copy of the performer’s birth certificate.
PROTESTS & DISPUTES
42.Protests or objections must be referred to the Executor, Jenny Jones, before the
completion of adjudication for that age group.
43.Protests will only be accepted from a singer, teacher, parent, or caregiver and
must be accompanied by a non refundable $100 protest fee.
44.Anonymous letters, texts, emails, or inbox messages will NOT be considered.
45.All disputes must be handled respectfully, privately, and with professionalism.
46.Disputes must not be conducted on social media platforms or at the event itself.
47.Failure to comply may result in disqualification of all parties involved.
48.If Sing It Out Loud is named in defamatory or inappropriate social media
discussions, Sing It Out Loud reserves the right to impose a two-year ban from all
Sing It Out Loud events.
49.Sing It Out Loud will not become involved in personal disputes and simply asks all
parties to act respectfully and responsibly.
CODE OF CONDUCT
50.Courtesy and sportsmanlike conduct are expected at all times from singers,
parents/carers, teachers, and audience members.
51.Bullying, intimidation, disruptive behaviour, or inappropriate conduct of any kind
is unacceptable and may result in immediate disqualification or removal from the
venue.
52.The Backstage Manager and Vocal Executor have the authority to ask any person
causing disruption or distress to performers, adjudicators, or staff to leave
immediately.
53.Attempting to recruit students from another studio is strictly forbidden.
54.Failure to display appropriate conduct and decorum may result in immediate
disqualification.
DRESSING ROOMS & VENUE CARE
55.All performers must use designated changing rooms only.
56.Please respect the space and belongings of others and leave dressing rooms tidy at the
end of the day.
57.Any participant found responsible for damage to dressing rooms or venue property will
be charged for repair costs.
58.Existing damage must be reported to staff immediately.
59.The venue and Sing It Out Loud Executives reserve the right to document dressing room
conditions with photographs daily.
SAFETY, LIABILITY & CHILD SUPERVISION
60.Participation in any competition may involve risks including, but not limited to,
sprains, bruises, pulled muscles, fractures, illness, or injury.
61.By participating in Sing It Out Loud, all performers acknowledge and accept
these risks.
62.Sing It Out Loud, its Executives, Directors, Staff, Volunteers, and Hosting Venues
accept no responsibility for injury, illness, loss, or damage sustained while
attending or participating in the event.
63.All attendees agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sing It Out Loud and its
representatives from any claims, actions, proceedings, costs, or expenses arising
from participation in the event.
64.As Sing It Out Loud is a public event, children must be supervised at all times.
65.Children under 13 years of age should be accompanied to the restroom by a
responsible adult.
66.Please take care of personal belongings, remain aware of your surroundings, and
report any suspicious or inappropriate behaviour to a Sing It Out Loud staff
member immediately.
FINAL CONDITIONS
67.Disqualification will occur if any rules are not observed.
68.Please note: If the event proceeds with a date change due to venue adjustments
or COVID lockdowns or an ACT of GOD, all terms remain in effect and binding.
69.We cannot transfer or refund entries for those unable to attend, as all registered
entries contribute to the event's running costs.
70.By entering Sing It Out Loud, all competitors, parents, carers, and teachers
acknowledge they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms &
Conditions.
Entries, Payments, Refunds, Transfers
Registrations must be completed online and payment can be made via credit card or PayPal
through Jotform.
Once submitted, all registrations will be processed and confirmed by our administration
team. Please note that all entry fees are strictly non-refundable, with a 100% cancellation and no-
show policy in place.
This includes circumstances relating to COVID-19, including illness or isolation requirements.
By entering, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
Entry fees contribute towards administration costs, staffing, venue hire, back-office
expenses, and the overall operation of the event.
Transfers to another SING IT OUT LOUD competition may only be considered under
exceptional circumstances and must be supported by appropriate documentation, such as
a medical certificate from a doctor
Approved reasons may include:
• Injury or illness with a medical certificate
• Surgery or broken bone
• Death in the family
• Change of care arrangements between parents
A transfer fee of $50 per performer will apply, provided that:
A. The requested competition is not already at capacity.
B. The transfer request is submitted more than 60 days prior to the commencement of the
competition and before the draft program for the new event has been released.
C. Transfers cannot be processed once the draft program for the original event has been
published.
D. Routines may not be transferred simply because they are not prepared in time for the
entered event.
E. Transfers will not be granted for change of mind, scheduling conflicts, or personal
commitments.
F. Entries paid through a studio or by a parent cannot be transferred or refunded if a
performer changes studios, and SING IT OUT LOUD will not intervene in such matters.
G. It is the responsibility of the entrant, parent, guardian, or teacher to ensure all entries are
submitted correctly and in accordance with the SING IT OUT LOUD syllabus and rules.
H. No refunds or transfers will be provided for incorrect entries made due to failure to read
or understand the syllabus and competition requirements.
By registering and confirming your entry at checkout, you acknowledge and agree to all
payment, registration, and competition terms and conditions.
No refunds or transfers will be provided for performers who choose not to perform, fail to
appear, or withdraw from any section for any reason.
Transfer will not be granted for:
• Change of mind
• Rule disagreements
• Scheduling conflicts
• Withdrawal from the competition
In cases of genuine administration errors, such as duplicate entries, or where a performer
suffers an injury and provides supporting documentation, transfers may be considered in
accordance with the above conditions.
By entering SING IT OUT LOUD, all participants acknowledge that this is a competitive event.
Should the event proceed with amended dates due to the venue making changes, COVID
restrictions, government directives, or circumstances beyond our control (including Acts of
God), all terms and conditions will remain valid and binding.
As all registered entries contribute to the operational costs of the event, we are unable to
provide refunds or transfers for competitors unable to attend.
All participants, including performers, parents/carers, teachers, directors, volunteers,
audience members, and patrons, agree to indemnify and hold harmless SING IT OUT LOUD, its
committee members, staff, operators and venues against any claims, liabilities, demands,
damages, or expenses arising from participation in the event.
