TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Unless otherwise stated, Sing It Out Loud is for amateur performers only.
2. Any person who derives a main income as a teacher and or singer, may not enter Sing It Out Loud.
3. It is the responsibility of the entrants, teacher, parent or carer to list the correct sections that you enter, on the entry form.
4. The Executive accepts no responsibility for incorrect entries received.
5. Sing It Out Loud is not responsible for entries lost through failed electronic transmission or incorrectly submitted online.
6. Please check your junk mail folder if you do not receive a confirmation email.
7. Time limits must be observed, there is 2 points deducted for going over the allocated times.
8. Please endeavour to stay within the time limits printed within the syllabus.
9. These are the maximum - an item may be shorter than the limit but not exceed it.
10. Should time limits be exceeded, 2 points will be deducted.
11.Entry fees are not refundable unless the section is cancelled by the Executive.
12.The Executive reserves the right to cancel or combine any section/s in which, in their opinion, there are insufficient entries.
13.The Executive reserves the right to appoint a new adjudicator should it be deemed necessary.
14. Performers must be present at the beginning of the session as withdrawals may alter the order of appearance.
15. Due to this, it is unwise to anticipate exact performance times.
16. Please arrive at the venue at least forty five minutes before the allocated start time.
17. We ask that you report to the registration desk when entering the venue.
18. All singers and groups must perform in the order of their name in the program.
19. Changes may only be made after consultation with the backstage manager at anytime.
20. Genres, please follow the description requirements for song choices in the syllabus in whatever section you choose.
21. An incorrect genre of song choice will unfortunately lead to disqualification.
22. Backing tracks must be uploaded through music uploads.com.au we do NOT take music any other way.
23. Props are to be minimal and free-standing, please notify our back stage manager if you need help.
24. Cancellations – please notify the back stage manager if your singer or group will not be performing in a section.
25. Courtesy – singers, parents/carers and teachers must demonstrate courtesy to all members of Sing It Out Loud, Team.
26. If they distract or cause problems for the performers and adjudicator, the Back Stage Manager and Vocal Executor have the authority to ask any person causing trouble to leave immediately.
27. No prompting or assistance of any kind may be given by any person other than the adjudicator.
28. All singers are to wait where the Back Stage Manager asks them to wait for their turn on stage.
29. All singers their teachers, parents /carers are to follow directions from the Back Stage Manager.
30. We encourage parents to leave their singer with our backstage manager, take a seat in the audience, relax and watch your talented artist or artists on stage.
31.Singers may only enter a style in a category once. “Your Own Choice” Categories may be used for second performance of the same style, but NOT the same song.
32.You are NOT able to perform the same performance more than once, unless it is in Crossover Crown or Strut Your Stuff Crown sections.
33. Protests or objection must be referred to The Executor Jenny Jones before age groups adjudication.
34. A protest will only be accepted from a singer, teacher, parent or caregiver and must be received with a $100 fee.
35. In the case of a dispute arising in respect of the age of any competitor and his/her eligibility to appear in any age grouping, the Executive reserves the right to request a copy of the birth certificate of that singer.
36. Anonymous letters , texts, emails, inbox messages will NOT be considered.
37. Please understand that disputes in regards to this must be mediated and handled with class and not on the social media platforms, or the event itself by the parties involved.
38. Failure to do so we will see disqualification for all parties involved.
39. If on social media Sing It Out Loud is named in any discord, Sing It Out Loud will impose a ban to any Sing It Out Loud competition, for two years and seek legal advice.
40. Sing It Out Loud will not get involved in this, we simply ask that you all do the right thing.
41. Failure to comply wholly or partly with any of the rules and regulations may result in disqualification or the withholding of prizes.
42. The decision of the Executive on any question or dispute shall be absolutely final.
43. The Executive takes all care but no responsibility for music and how it is uploaded.
44. Please note, it is always best to purchase your backing track as the quality is clear!
45. Entries will not be accepted for singers outside their age group.
46. In duo, trio and group sections, singers may perform twice, age is taken from the oldest performer and must enter the relevant age section.
47. If through an act of God an event needs to be rescheduled all acts will be transferred to the following event.
48. REGISTRATIONS, PAYMENTS, ENTRY FEES, NO REFUNDS, TRANSFERS
Registrations are completed online and can be paid via credit card or PayPal through Jotform.
Once your registration is submitted, our staff will process and confirm it.
Please note that all fees are non-refundable, adhering to a 100% cancellation fee and no-show policy. This includes situations where attendance is not possible due to COVID-19 related circumstances, such as contracting the virus. This policy forms part of the agreement.
Entry fees are allocated towards back-office expenses, administrative staff wages, and the costs associated with running the event.
Transfers to another SING IT OUT LOUD competition are permitted only under specific conditions, requiring a medical certificate or similar documentation for the following reasons: Injury with Drs certificate, Change of weekend with another parent. Loss in the family.
If you need to transfer to another event due to your performer being unwell, suffering from a broken bone, requiring surgery, or experiencing a death in the family, this can be done for a fee of $60 per performer, provided that:
A. The competition you wish to transfer to is not full.
B. The request is made more than 60 days before the competition starts, and the draft program for the new competition has not yet been released.
C. Transfers cannot be made if you are cancelling from an event where the draft program has already been announced.
D. Routines cannot be transferred if they are not ready for the competition you entered.
E. Transfers are not allowed for reasons such as change of mind, scheduling conflicts, or personal commitments.
Entries paid through a studio or by a parent cannot be transferred or refunded if you change studios, and SING IT OUT LOUD will not intervene in such cases.
By registering for the competition and confirming at checkout, you agree to all terms and conditions related to payments and registrations, and you commit to compliance without contest.
Performers are not entitled to refunds or fee transfers for non-appearance in any section or if they choose not to perform, regardless of the routine's status.
We do not provide refunds for changes of mind, rule disagreements, scheduling conflicts, or if performers decide to withdraw from competitions.
If an error occurs (e.g., double entries) or a performer is injured (with proof), we will facilitate a transfer to another competition, adhering to the stated criteria.
By entering the competition, you acknowledge that it is a competitive event.
Please note: If the event proceeds with a date change due to venue adjustments or COVID lockdowns or an ACT of GOD, all terms remain in effect and binding. We cannot transfer or refund entries for those unable to attend, as all registered entries contribute to the event's running costs.
All participants, including singers, parents/carers, teachers, directors, volunteers, and patrons, agree to indemnify and hold SING IT OUT LOUD and its committee members and operators harmless against all claims, demands, and expenses arising from participation in the event. This is to ensure that everyone feels secure in being part of SING IT OUT LOUD.
